The Homes

Developed on a 5,700-acre parcel of land, Desert Ridge is a paradise in the middle of Phoenix, AZ.  The master-planned community began development in 1991 and the Northeast Valley portion of the city began to develop and grow around it.  The first homes were sold in 1996, and the investment was worth while as homes are now averaging around $500,000. As a newer development, the homes in Desert Ridge are new builds, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have character.  The neighborhood is filled with unique examples of modern architectural greatness and even some period revival homes, to mix things up a bit!  


The Community

Desert Ridge was built with the intention of being family-friendly and that intention has held strong.  It is one of the best neighborhoods for families in the entire Phoenix area and is perfectly situation to make the commute much easier for the residents who work in the city.  The students of Desert Ridge attend schools within the Paradise Valley Unified School District, which houses four schools ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade—including Desert Trails Elementary, Explorer Middle School, Paradise Valley High School, and Pinnacle High School.  Desert Ridge is a humble community that isn’t over the top or flashy—but residents will surely brag about their school system!  Why? Desert Ridge sits right in the northeast part of Phoenix, and as a popular community that is still in development, it has tons of localized amenities to offer.  The residential part of the neighborhood is partially surrounded by Mayo Clinic’s 210-acre Phoenix campus, which employs many of Desert Ridge’s residents. On top of the onsite campus, residents are also in short proximity to Desert Ridge Marketplace—an all-in-one retail, dining, and entertainment center full of some of the best shopping and dining experiences in all of Phoenix.



Any community that resides right in the midst of the cityscape of Phoenix has a bit less to offer in terms of true outdoor recreation, but this is Arizona after all, so no neighborhood is completely devoid of fun in the sun!  One thing that almost every Arizona community can offer is an incredible golf scene—and Desert Ridge is no different!
